Personally, I have been exploring the depth of most of these "apps" and how effective they could be in classroom teaching and learning.

iPad Learning at St Ursula's College is taking place in the Languages and the Hospitality Departments. Languages are asking students in Year 9 to create an e-Book using the e-Books App. The Assessment has been designed to engage the students in their Vocabulary of the Language in both speaking and writing. The e-Book APP allows students to write the content and record the content for each page produced in the e-Book.

inClass is an App that students can use on their iPhone, iPad or iPod that will help with their organisation of classes, assignments, curricula and co-curricula activities. This App does have the ability to file recordings of lessons, video or sound, store files for use outside class and monitor learning activities. Have a look at the reviews - they are excellent.
Remind101 - an App that allows teachers to text their students reminders regarding assessment, homework and activities.
